What we collect

• Contact form: your name, company, email address, topic, message, and the language of the page you sent it from
• Email: your email address, name, signature and anything else your message contains
• Analytics: the pages you view, when you view them, the site that sent you, your approximate region, and your device and browser type, as recorded by Google Analytics
• Server records: the IP address, browser details and requested URL that Cloudflare, which serves this site, receives in order to deliver it

3. To understand how the site is used and improve its content and usability
4. To keep the site secure and respond to abuse and attacks

We will ask for your consent before using personal information for anything beyond these purposes.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses Google Analytics, provided by Google LLC, to understand how it is used. Google Analytics sets cookies with names such as _ga and sends Google the information below. We do not use it to identify you personally.

If you visit from a European time zone, a banner first asks for your consent, and no analytics cookies are used until you choose Accept. Until then, Google's consent mode still sends Google basic signals such as a page view, without cookies. You can use the site in full if you choose Decline.

Wherever you are, you can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. If you choose Decline, analytics cookies are no longer used, and the analytics cookies this site has already stored are deleted. You can also use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Google explains its own use of this data in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

The site also stores your cookie choice, and whether you have already seen the opening animation on the homepage, in your own browser (localStorage). Neither is sent to us or to anyone else.

Sharing with third parties

We do not provide personal data to third parties without your consent, except:

• where required by law
• where it is necessary to protect someone's life, body or property and your consent is difficult to obtain
• in other cases permitted under Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information

Service providers outside Japan

We use the following providers to run the site and handle inquiries, and entrust them with personal data for that purpose. All three are based in the United States, and data may be processed on servers in the United States and other countries.

• Google LLC (United States): analytics (Google Analytics) and our email (Google Workspace)
• Resend (United States): delivers contact form submissions to us as email
• Cloudflare, Inc. (United States): serves the site, receives contact form submissions and protects against attacks

The United States has no comprehensive federal privacy law equivalent to Japan's; personal information there is protected by state laws and sector specific laws. Each provider publishes the terms under which it processes personal data, and we use their services under those terms. How long we keep it

• Inquiries are kept for as long as we need them to respond and for any business that follows, and deleted once they are no longer needed.
• Google Analytics data is deleted automatically when the retention period set in Google Analytics ends. The _ga cookie lasts up to two years.
• Cloudflare's server records are kept and deleted under Cloudflare's own policies.

How we protect it

• All traffic to the site and the contact form is encrypted with HTTPS.
• Only our representative handles inquiry content.
• The credentials used to send the contact form are stored separately from the site's code.
• Personal data is handled on services run by US providers. We take our security measures with the US legal system, as described above, in mind.

Your requests

You can ask us to tell you how we use your retained personal data, to disclose it, to correct, add to or delete it, to stop using or erase it, to stop providing it to third parties, or to disclose our records of third party provision. We will confirm that the request comes from you and respond without delay as the law requires. Send requests, complaints and questions to [email protected].

Children

This site and its contact form are meant for businesses and are not directed at children under 16. If we learn that we have received personal information from a child under 16, we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when laws or the site change. The updated version applies from the moment it is posted on this page.
